Freddie Prinze Jr. to appear on "24"
We have grown to love Freddie Prinze Jr. in numerous romantic comedies and 90s movie roles, but now he has a new television role. "24" will welcome Prinze for the series highly anticipated eighth season.
Hitfix.com reports that Prinze, husband to actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, will play the role of one of Jack Bauer's field ops.
The website also says that this is Prinze's first television role since "Freddie" on ABC, and guest starring role on "Boston Legal." He also had roles in two television pilots, but the new gig on "24" should be stable for a little while.
The show has a history of taking away many people associated with Jack Bauer due to its plots relating to secretive missions. Prinze may be amongst the many fallen CTU ops on the show, but viewers will have to watch and see if he will be staying around longer than others.
