Chevy Chase Returns to the Big Screen
28-May-2009
Written by: Julie Terry

The comedy star will play an odd repairman in upcoming movie.

Pack your bags and get ready for another funny trip to the movies with Chevy Chase. The Vegas Vacation actor has announced that he will be returning to the big screen with a last name other than Griswald. Hot Tub Time Machine, reports Entertainment Weekly, will be produced by MGM and contains an all-star comedic cast. Chase will act opposite John Cusack, Rob Corddry, and Craig Robinson.

The R-rated comedy flick centers around three friends who return to a hot tub they used to party in, only to discover it has turned into a time machine. Hijinks ensue after the guys are somehow transported back to their party days in 1987 and must figure out how to get back. Chase’s character, according to Entertainment Weekly, is a loopy repairman, who happens to be the trio’s only hope of returning back to present day.

Steve Pink (Accepted) will be directing the film, which is now in production. The comedy flick is set for a Feb. 2010 release.
