Angelina Jolie Suffers Concussion on Set
Angelina Jolie suffered a minor concussion Friday while working on her upcoming film, "Salt," produced by Columbia Pictures.
Jolie was performing an action sequence when her head collided with a set light. Receiving a cut between the eyes, the 33-year-old was rushed to the hospital for precautionary measures, reported New York Daily.
The actress was then taken to the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Shortly after, doctors confirmed a slight concussion but deemed it safe for Jolie to continue filming.
Despite her injury and the early hours in which filming began that morning, Jolie finished the day strong. Filming continued as late as 11:15 p.m.
"She spent the rest of the day doing blue screen work. They covered up the small cut she received with a wig and makeup," a source told radaronline.com.
In the film, Jolie will play CIA agent Evelyn Salt who is accused of being a Russian spy with a plot to assassinate the president. The final scenes will be shot early next week in Washington, D.C. The film will hit theaters in 2010.
