Lori Petty Arrested for DUI in Venice
After hitting a skateboarder with her car, actress Lori Petty was arrested for drunk driving and taken to jail.
The actress spent the night in jail after being arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving Saturday night.
Petty, 45, was pulled over at 9:30 p.m. in Venice, Calif. after allegedly hitting a skateboarder with her car.
Los Angeles Police Sgt. Randy Franklin said Petty was arrested by officers on patrol and then transferred to the 77th Street Station, reported NBC.
The skateboarder was unidentified and suffered minor injuries. Neither he nor Petty was taken to the hospital.
"The skateboarder was treated on the scene and released," Los Angeles Police Officer Bruce Borihanh told Los Angeles Times.
Petty was booked into the Van Nuys jail four hours later. She was released on a $100,000 dollar bail around 1:21 a.m. Sunday morning.
Best known for her role in "Point Break" as Keanu Reeves' girlfriend, Petty also made a name for herself in films like "League of Their Own," "The Glass Shield" and "Tank Girl."
