Leonardo DiCaprio receives
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio was presented "The Platinum Award" at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday for his "exceptional career."
"From what I understand, it's a lifetime achievement award, which is completely and utterly surreal, considering I'm 30 years old," said DiCaprio who has been in the business for almost 17 years. He began his career on the hit series "Growing Pains" when he was 13 years old.
Director Martin Scorsese presented the actor with the award. Scorsese directed DiCaprio in 2002's "Gang's of New York" and in 2004's "The Aviator," for which DiCaprio received a Best Actor nomination. "The Aviator" has received 11 Oscar nominations.
