Susan Boyle Hospitalized
Shortly after her defeat at the hands of dance group "Diversity," Susan Boyle checked into a hospital. The New York Times reported that the singer was escorted by officers from Scotland Yard to a private clinic facility from a London hotel.
Boyle, who rose from complete anonymity to super stardom, had been reported by British tabloids to have been acting erratically after her loss Saturday night on "Britain's got Talent," despite her gracious and humble behavior in public. It had also been reported that she had been taken to the Priory, a clinic associated with celebrities, but the Priory refused to comment.
Boyle has been a favorite on the show and people loved watching the timid middle-aged spinster rise to fame. As newspapers began reporting her acting strangely and abusively in the past couple of weeks, adulation began to wane.
Interest in Boyle's welfare runs right to the top, as UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown took time during a televised interview to wish Mrs. Boyle well.
