Omarion Signs To Young Money
Former B2K lead singer Omarion has signed to Young Money Entertainment, founded by rapper Lil' Wayne, an imprint of Cash Money Records distributed by Universal Records, according to XXLmag.com.
A representative of Universal confirmed to XXL that Omarion is now a member of Young Money. The roster also includes Drake, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Mack Maine (the president of Young Money), Nicki Minaj, and, of course, Lil' Wayne, among others.
Omarion is a Grammy-nominated R&B singer, actor, songwriter, record producer and dancer. He was formerly signed to Sony Urban Music/Epic/T.U.G.
Rumors first circulated when fellow R&B singer Tyrese congratulated Omarion on his new contract. He released two successful group albums with B2K and continued to top the charts with his two solo albums, "O" and "21," released in 2005 and 2006 respectively. He collaborated with rapper Bow Wow in 2007 to record "Face Off," which reached #1 on the R&B/Rap charts and Billboard 200.
He is yet to release a formal statement about his joining his new label.
