Co-host of ABC’s “Live with Regis and Kelly,” Kelly Ripa and her hubby, Mark Consuelos have been asked to be part of the producing team for an upcoming network nonscripted catering series.
The Learning Channel (TLC) has given Kelly Ripa of ABC’s “Live with Regis and Kelly” and her husband Mark Consuelos a swing at producing a new network nonscripted catering series.
According to an article on Variety.com, “Skein will focus on a New Jersey family-owned catering business and the wide range of clientele and events they service, with no small emphasis on the unusual.”
Viewers will be able to catch a sneak peek at the show, titled "Masters of Reception," on June 12 before it airs five hour-long episodes in the fall.
"They [Ripa and Consuelos] were instrumental in the genesis of the idea and discovering the Frungillos and their family business," said Nancy Daniels, TLC senior veep of production and development."And now they are involved in the creative development of each episode, from finding the best stories to looking at the edits.”
Milojo Productions, the shingle of Ripa and Consuelos, has a first-look development deal with both TLC and Discovery. Past projects that Milojo Prods. has produced include the ESPN feature doc "The Streak," which was nominated for a 2009 Sports Emmy.
Currently, they have another series entitled “Mom, Inc.” in the works.
Charlie Corwin will be the executive producer of "Masters of Reception." Corwin also is the executive producer of another TLC program, the reality show “Miami Ink,” which takes place at a tattoo shop in Miami Beach, Fla.
