Forbes Announces Top Celebrities

Could it really be possible that someone topped Oprah Winfrey on the Forbes list as the most powerful celebrity in the world? Well this year the answer is yes.

Even though the media queen made an estimated $275 million last year, she still takes second place to the all around good girl actress Angelina Jolie as the most powerful celebrity in the world.

Other celebrities in the top five are Tiger Woods at no. 5, Beyonce at no. 4 and Madonna at no. 3, while Oprah Winfrey takes the no. 2 spot. Madonna came in third because she pulled in $110 million thanks to her Hard Candy world tour, which grossed $280 million.

Stephanie Meyer, the author of the all so popular vampire series, came in at no. 26 on the list. This is all thanks to the selling of 29 million books and the new smash hit movie that earned her $50 million. Also on the list is President Barack Obama who not only made history this year by becoming the first African American President but also became the first sitting head of state to make the list, coming in at no. 49.
