New Jersey police officer beats mentally ill man.

New Jersey police officer, Joseph R. Rios lll was caught on tape beating a man who suffers from schizophrenia. Surveillance footage shows the man, Ronnie Holloway, waiting outside of Lawrence's Bar and Grill in Passaic, New Jersey when a police officer pulls up and asks him to zip up his jacket, reports ABC. Holloway appears to do what the officer says, but Rios enters the picture and begins beating him. Rios eventually puts Holloway in the police car.

Holloway's lawyer, Nancy Lucianna said these officers know who Holloway is.

"He's lived in the town for 25 years, does the same routine every night," Lucianna said. "He goes out after dinner, takes a walk and paces back and forth."
