7-Jun-2009
Written by: Amanda Murree

Crazy fan jumps fence at the French Open and attempts to put a hat on Roger Federer’s head.

Roger Federer and audience were shocked when a crazy fan jumped the fence at the French Open this afternoon and tried to place a red hat on top of Federer’s head. According to the Associated Press, the tennis player attempted to push the dramatic fan aside, but failed when the fan began to dance and wave a Barcelona soccer team flag in front of the tennis player.

There was a bit of a struggle trying to obtain this fan as he jumped back over the fence, but he was later carried away by three security guards.

Police have reported that he was brought to the station for questioning, where he claimed to be a fan of Federer. He could be charged with illegally entering a sports stadium.

Federer continued the game unharmed and won the first set, lost the second and then went on to win the third. Go Barcelona!
