Jay-Z Surprises Fans at Summer Jam Concert
Jay-Z stole the show when he made a surprise appearance at the Summer Jam concert Sunday night in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Contributing to the already celebrity-packed show, which included Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Jeremih with Jadakiss, Method Man, Redman, Lil' Kim Mary J. Blige and Young Jeezy, fans went crazy as Jay took the stage.
Joining Jeezy on stage during his set at the Giant's stadium, Jay's opening rap was barely heard over the tremendous cheers from the crowd, reported MTV.
"I put Marcy on the map, I put Brooklyn on my back/ I put Fab back on the charts, I put Biggie in my raps/ I put Nas with Def Jam, I let Diddy do my tracks/ I put on for my city, that's a mother----ing fact/ I put Prodigy in his place on that Summer Jam screen," he rapped.
Jay then performed his newest hit single "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," which he debuted on Funkmaster Flex's radio show last Friday.
Pain joined the stage in support of Jay and was reciprocated with a hug. According to MTV, he completely agrees with the sentiment of the song, claiming that Auto-Tune is getting played out.
"He only makes it better for me," Pain said about Jay's "D.O.A."
Jay's new album "Blueprint 3" is due to release on September 11.
