Kris Allen Inks Record Deal

Look for Kris Allen's debut album in stores this fall.

Like most of America, you may have religiously watched "American Idol," TV's top-rated American singing competition, and saw that Kris Allen beat every contestant with his musical talent. You may have not heard that he has recently signed a record deal with producer 19 Recordings. Like other "American Idol" winners, Allen is preparing to release his debut album through Jive Records this fall, informs Rolling Stone.

According to Reuters, Allen will perform in 50 cities starting in July in the "American Idol" 2009 Summer Tour before his debut album hits stores.

On the Billboard Charts, Allen's song "No Boundaries" was placed in the number four spot on the Hot 100, while his "Season 8 Favorite Performances" placed number 50 on the Billboard 200.

"Everyone's been asking me what it's going to sound like," Allen said in a statement. "It will be very similar to what you heard from me on the show; definitely in the pop/rock genre."
