Rihanna Subpoenaed in Chris Brown Case

Rihanna was subpoenaed Tuesday for the Chris Brown case.

Rihanna, 22, has been subpoenaed on Tuesday to appear and testify at the Chris Brown hearing taking place on June 22.

Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, confirmed to People magazine she was subpoenaed in person at his office.

Chris Brown, 20, pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault charges that took place on February 8. Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, requested on Wednesday to delay the preliminary hearing but was denied. He argued the hearing should be pushed back due to a request for access to police records by the defendant.

A pending California Supreme Court decision can be vital to Chris Brown's case according to Geragos in his appeal. That however was not enough, and the case will in fact commend on the 22nd of this month.MTV.com reports Legal expert Peter T. Haven stating that if this case does indeed provide enough evidence, and a ruling is made for it to go to trial, there will be a trial date within 30 to 90 days.
