My Name Is Earl to End on NBC

Producers unable to continue series onto TBS.

After four seasons, the NBC series, "My Name Is Earl," has reached the end of the line. Or the end of the list, rather.

TBS was rumored to be interested in picking up the Emmy-winning comedy, but an agreement could not be reached, an EW.com story reports.

In a statement, a Twentieth Century Fox Television rep said, "While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series."

The series finished its fourth season on May 14 and starred Jason Lee as a hillbilly looking to reverse his karma by correcting all of his past transgressions.
