Sarah Palin wants David Letterman to Apologize

Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, wants David Letterman to apologize to her daughter and to young women everywhere after he made a controversial comment.

Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor, appeared on the "Today" show today after a feud with CBS late night host, David Letterman. Palin says that not only does he owe an apology to her daughter, but to young women everywhere after Letterman made a joke that Palin's daughter got knocked-up by Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, during their most recent trip the New York City.

Access Hollywood reported that Host Matt Lauer asked Palin if Letterman owed anyone an apology and she said "I would like to see him apologize to young women across the country for contributing to kind of that thread that is throughout our culture that makes it sound like it is OK to talk about young girls in that way, where it's kind of OK, accepted and funny to talk about statutory rape," she said. "It's not cool. It's not funny."

Letterman said that the joke was targeted at Palin's daughter Bristol who is a 18-year-old single mother but Palin was traveling with her 14-year-old daughter Willow at the time. "No wonder young girls especially have such low self-esteem in America when we think it's funny for a so-called comedian to get away with such a remark as he did," she said. "I don't think that's acceptable."
