Al Roker Proud of "Speidi" Interview
Reality television stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, dubbed "Speidi," wereinvolved in a confrontation with "The Today Show" anchor Al Roker yesterday regarding their behavior on the NBC reality show, "I'm A Celebrity
Get Me Out of Here!"
The controversy arose, according to MSNBC.com, when Roker repeatedly asked whether they were "proud" of their behavior on the show, which involved allegations that they had been tortured and Heidi sent to the hospital because of it. Pratt and Montag went on to do other interviews where they described feeling "persecuted" by Roker, according to OK! Magazine.
During an interview this morning with his "Today" co-host Meridith Viera, he expressed no regrets, saying "they are so unused to people actually asking them a real question that they didn't know how to handle it
there are a lot of celebrities who come on real celebrities who have actually done something and act civil."
