Michael Bay Unhappy About "Transformers 2" Marketing
The new "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is set to open up this Wednesday and expected to top the box office. However, Michael Bay thinks that that is being "cocky" and finds the marketing for his new film "lacking," according to a recent e-mail message he sent to a couple of Marketing Execs at Paramount. The e-mail was made public by TMZ.com.
Bay, according to Reuters, sent another e-mail more recently thanking the team for "bringing your 'A game.'" The film has received not-so-great reviews but opened already for Britain and Japan, raking in $20+ million.
The stars of the film, on the other hand, have been busy with the marketing of the film. Megan Fox gave an interview to the Chicago Sun-Times in which she describes the new twist of the film as the girl having to save the guy. Shia LaBeouf gave MTV.com an interview stating, "My first sequel? Cool." The new film is expected to deliver more action and adventure and a larger array of Decepticons and Autobots for fans worldwide.
