Depp to Star in "Wonderland" Remake Among Other Films
Johnny Depp will have more upcoming films for fans including another "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel.
According to MTV, the actor revealed to MTV's Josh Horowitz that he will be working on the film next year, along with "Dark Shadows," an adaptation of United Kingdom's vampire television series. Depp confirmed that Tim Burton will be involved with the film.
Another anticipated film is the remake of "Alice in Wonderland," where Depp will star as the Mad Hatter, CD Insight reports. Revealed photos of the film show him as the character, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Mia Wasikowska as Alice, and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. Burton is directing the film, which is slated for release in March 2010.
FWDailyNews.com reports that "Wonderland" will also star Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar, Christopher Lee as the Jabberwock, Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts and Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat. The 3-D film will be a combination of CGI and live-action.
