Producer Scott Storch will be the center of a new reality series.
Urban music producer Scott Storch has consented to be the spotlight of a new reality show that will put the focus on his return to the music industry, according to ThisIs50.com.
The producer, who accumulated an estimated $70 million from producing songs for famous artists such as 50 Cent, Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne, faced financial troubles earlier this year when he missed payments on his $10 million Miami mansion, luxury cars and $46,000 worth of child support.
He also owed the IRS nearly $1 million in back taxes.
Mr. Storch splurged more than $25 million over a three-year period on his cocaine addiction.
Bunim/Murray Productions will produce Storch’s show, which does not yet have a name. The company has put together popular reality series such as MTV’s “The Real World,” “Road Rules,” “Project Runaway” and others.
In the past, Mr. Storch has not allowed those outside of the music status to observe him during his production process, but now he is potentially opening up to millions of viewers. He has recently sat down for interviews in which he admitted that his cocaine habit has spiraled him out of control.
His show is set to take place in Miami, Florida.
