Jeff Goldblum and Harrison Ford Not Dead
In the wake of the double tragedy of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, rumors of the untimely deaths of two more beloved celebrities sprung up on the Internet. According to BuddyTV, these reports stating that Jeff Goldblum and Harrison Ford were dead appeared only minutes after the news confirming Jackson's passing. Goldblum's publicist has already issued a statement assuring the public that the actor is fine.
These kinds of rumors have been popping up on the Internet at random intervals since 1999, Access Hollywood reports. They are automatically generated by prank Web sites. Anyone can enter any name into the system, and the Web site will produce a fake report of that person's death. The same thing happened in 2006 with Tom Hanks, and in 2008 with Tom Cruise. According to New York Daily News, the recent prank reports claimed that Goldblum had fallen to his death while filming a movie in New Zealand, and that Ford had disappeared while sailing on the French Riviera.
Although Goldblum is not in New Zealand, both he and Ford are working on the comedy film, "Morning Glory," which is set to hit theaters in 2010.
