The Future of Jackson's Children

Who will get custody of Michael's 3 kids?

Us Magazine reports that the Jackson family was in court Monday over the custody of Michael Jackson's three children.

The three children—Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7, have been staying with Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson, last week since the death of their father. The Jackson estate is in Encino, Calif.

Prince and Paris were born to Debbie Rowe, Jackson's ex-wife and Prince Michael II, was born via a surrogate. The identity of Prince Michael's biological mother is not known.

The Jacksons' attorney, Londell McMillan, appeared on the "Today" show, saying there isn't "anybody who thinks that there is someone better" than Katherine Jackson to take custody of Jackson's children.

Rowe's former attorney said, "She is inconsolable. She will always love Michael and she always considered him a dear friend."

Debbie Rowe gave up custodial rights to her two children when she and Jackson divorced in 1999. The family hasn't heard from Rowe about regaining custody rights.
