Michael Jackson Will Have Public Funeral
Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, announced that the funeral for his son will be open to the public, though it is unknown at the moment when the funeral will be held, FoxNews.com reports.
Jackson spoke last night at the BET Awards, saying "The family and I are very proud to see all of you come out here and help us with this whole situation because we know that we do have fans all over the world and we know that we're loved all over the world. But one thing that I wish could have happened I wish that Michael could be here to see all of this. [We] had to wait until something happened like this before it could be realized. Michael was a superstar ... he was loved all over the world."
According to the Times Online, the Jackson's are currently meeting with the Reverend Al Sharpton to help plan the memorial service. He will be performing a eulogy tomorrow at the Apollo Theatre in New York, and there are possible plans to hold several simultaneous memorial services around the world.
