Ashley Tisdale Gets Edgier
Disney star Ashley Tisdale is cooler, edgier, and apparently brunette. Ashley Tisdale has a new edgy look that goes well with her sophomore album, entitled "Guilty Pleasure." "For the last few years everyone has thought of me as Sharpay," says Tisdale, referring to her blonde and queen bee character Sharpay in Disney's "High School Musical."
According to Reuters, after Tisdale finished promoting "High School Musical 3," she dyed her hair back to its original color: brunette. She felt that the songs on her album were edgy and required a new look to go along with the music. "I wanted to show people a side of me they haven't seen before," says Tisdale.
According to Reuters, "Guilty Pleasure" has a more mature sound with a few dance hits, including "Headstrong." According to Ashley Tisdale, "A lot of the songs on the album are about survival and staying strong. . . . I really wanted it to be a statement and a reflection of what I've been through over the past year and how I've grown up."
"Guilty Pleasure" will hit the shelves on July 28.
