Britney Spears Recruits Newcomer to Open Tour

Britney Spears has added Kristinia Debarge to her North American tour.
Britney Spears has announced that R&B singer Ciara and up-and-coming pop starlet Kristinia Debarge will be the opening acts for the second leg of her North American "Circus" tour.
Ciara, who opened for Britney during her London shows, made perfect sense as an addition to the bill. Kristinia Debarge, however, is relatively unknown and came as quite the surprise.
Kristinia is currently burning up the charts with her song "Goodbye", which samples the Steam's 1969 hit "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye". The single is also featured in a Nivea commercial. The Def Jam signee is not a total stranger to the industry as she has a strong R&B lineage. Her fathter is James Debarge, member of the 80s-era R&B group Debarge.
In a statement released on Britney's website, Kristinia said: "Joining Britney Spears on her 'Circus' tour will be an amazing and surreal experience for me. I have been dreaming of an opportunity like this forever and can't wait."
Kristinia's debut album "Exposed" is due out on July 28, and Britney's tour opens in Hamilton, Ontario, in August.
