Actor named to star as villian in "Spiderman 3"
Though the identity of the villain remains unknown, Oscar nominated actor Thomas Haden Church, of the movie "Sideways", has been named to play him in the next installment of the Spiderman movies. The film will begin shooting early next year for a May 4, 2007 release date. Fans of the previous films will see both Tobey Maguire, as Spiderman, and Kristen Dunst, as M.J., return in the third movie. Director Sam Raimi will also return to direct the film.
No other information about the cast of the movie has been released. The identity of the villain is being kept secret by the movie studio.
