Shots Fired At Nas Concert
Nas' UK performance rudely interrupted by gunshots on Monday.
Despite his latest single "Just A Moment" that speaks out against violence in rap music, two shots were fired in the crowd during Nas' show at Brixton Academy in London. The New York rapper has toured the UK three times in the past ten years. His last stop at Brixton Academy in 2003 was also plagued by unrest when fifty people tried to enter the doors without tickets. A spokeswoman for the academy said the venue had a high level of security thought the performance though audience members complained of a lack of bag searches earlier in the night.
An investigation into the gunman has been launched. No arrests have been made, but the suspect has been described as a black male by witnesses.
