Jolie made $27 million in the past year, with boyfriend Brad Pitt’s ex-wife coming in second with $25 million.
Angelina Jolie is the highest paid actress in Hollywood, with boyfriend Brad Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston coming in second on Forbes’ annual Celebrity 100 list released Wednesday, according to ABCNews.com and Reuters.
According to ABCNews.com, Jolie earned $27 million from June 2008 to June 2009. A good chunk of the money came from “Wanted,” which grossed $341 million. She also got some upfront money for “Salt,” an upcoming action film that will also star Tom Cruise.
Aniston earned just $2 million less than Jolie, with money coming from “Marley & Me” and the upcoming comedy “The Baster.” In addition, Aniston still garners money from her role in the hit series “Friends.”
According to Reuters, women are still making less than men are. Harrison Ford is the highest paid actor with an earning of $65 million.
"Access Hollywood" reports that after Aniston, Meryl Streep came in third with $24 million, Sarah Jessica Parker in fourth with $23 million, and Cameron Diaz in fifth with $20 million.
According to ABCNews.com, Forbes determined how much money actresses made by talking to agents, managers, producers and lawyers.
