‘Harry Potter’ Star Recovering from Swine Flu

Rupert Grint had a mild case of the swine flu.

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” films, is recovering from the swine flu.

According to Associated Press and Entertainment Tonight News, Grint’s publicist said the actor had a mild case of the swine flu. Grint took a few days off from filming his latest movie, said Christian Hodell of Hamilton Hodell management. He is now able to return to the set.

BBC News reports that while the 20-year-old actor was recovering, filming was not disrupted, the publicist said. “Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement,” she said.

Grint has played Ron in all the “Harry Potter” films, the British comedy, “Thunderpants,” and the comedy drama, “Driving Lessons,” said BBC News. Grint is currently filming for the final book in JK Rowling’s series, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The sixth film in the series, “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince,” is released on July 15.
