Madonna Pays Homage to Jackson
Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson during her concert on Saturday in London.
According to Entertainment Weekly and TMZ.com, she performed at the O2 arena, the same venue where Jackson had planned to begin his comeback tour this month. Her concert included a Jackson look-alike dancing to "Billie Jean" and "Wanna Be Startin' Something" with some of the King of Pop's signature moves.
E! Online reports the impersonator wore a jacket with sequins and a white glove. A picture of Jackson when he was young was displayed in the background. Toward the end, Madonna shouted to the crowd, "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known," before she and her entourage sported jeweled gloves.
Other celebrities paid tribute to Jackson last week, including U2, who performed their world tour opening in Barcelona last week. During the concert, Bono sang "Angel of Harlem" and some extracts of some of Jackson's popular songs.
