The Cruise Family Spends Time in Australia
G-day mates! The Cruise family - Tom, his wife, Katie Holmes, and their daughter, Suri, spent some time in the Land Down Under.
On Friday, while in Australia, Cruise celebrated his 47th birthday. He watched an Australian football game in a private box with Holmes and her co-star, Guy Pearce. Holmes and Pearce will be starring in the upcoming film, "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," which will begin filming in Melbourne, Australia soon.
According to People, Cruise and Holmes also saw the show, "Jersey Boys," on Sunday, and they were able to meet the cast after the performance.
Suri has had a fun vacation too. She and Cruise visited the Melbourne Zoo on Thursday.
"Suri visited a tree kangaroo, a koala, a Tawny Frogmouth, which is a bird, and the Kangaroo Island kangaroos," said a zoo rep. "They both got to touch the animals."
At the Melbourne's Myer Department Store, Suri and Cruise went to the toy department, where Suri got a kangaroo and a hobbyhorse.
Says a sales assistant at the department store, "I said to him, 'How old is she?' and he said, 'She's three.' And I said, 'Does she talk now?' and he said, 'All the time,' and laughs and then goes, 'She's just shy.'"
