Andrea Bowen, who plays Teri Hatcher’s daughter, Julie, on the popular ABC series, “Desperate Housewives,” is returning to the show on a more current basis for the show’s sixth season.
Actress Andrea Bowen, who plays Teri Hatcher’s daughter on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” and who was absent from the bulk of last season as a result of her character going off to college, will be back in full force for the show’s sixth season.
According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, “An ABC spokeswoman would only confirm that Bowen will appear in the sixth season opener, slated for Sept. 27. . . . On the show, Bowen was last seen in the Nov. 16 episode, in which Julie visited her mom (Teri Hatcher), bringing along her much older boyfriend Lloyd (Steven Weber).”
In addition, Julie’s father, Karl, played by Richard Burgi, is said to be an integral figure in the show’s upcoming season.
Burgi’s other credits include being a cast member on the CBS horror/thriller mystery series, “Harper’s Island.” He has also appeared on FX Network’s “Nip/Tuck” and NBC’s “Las Vegas.”
The HollywoodReporter.com article goes on to say, “In addition to her resuming her duties on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ Bowen, who debuted on stage on Broadway at age six as young Cosette in ‘Les Miserables,’ is in the midst of recording her first solo album, which will feature original pop-rock songs she has written.”
Besides “Desperate Housewives,” Bowen has appeared on the CBS series, “Ghost Whisperer,” the TNT original drama, “The Closer” and the CBS crime drama, “Without a Trace.”
Bowen is represented by UTA and Framework.
