No 'Hangover' for Lindsay Lohan
Just when you thought Lindsay Lohan could not make any more bad career choices, sun-tanning spray notwithstanding, she turned down a role in the hottest movie of the summer.
According to US Weekly, Lohan was offered a role in, ironically in her case, The Hangover.
She was initially offered the role of stripper Jade, which later went to Heather Graham, and has proved to be a comeback for the latter actress.
Yet, Lohan rejected the role on the grounds that the script "had no potential." Oh Lindsay, and I Knew Who Killed Me had potential?
Not only that, but she turned down the part after her agent had campaigned to the director Todd Phillips on Lohan's behalf.
"The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her," the source told US Weekly, "and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script!"
The move, in hindsight, was probably not Lohan's best decision.
The Hangover has made $205 million thus far, proved to be popular with critics and the masses, and is on its way to becoming the highest grossing comedy of 2009.
Better luck next time, Lindsay.
