Kate Gosselin and Kelly Preston are two of the stars attending Maria Shriver's annual Women's Conference.

Maria Shriver spoke about two particular women who will be attending the Women's Conference she hosts, Kelly Preston and Kate Gosselin.

California's first lady said Preston will speak at a panel titled "Grief and Resilience" where she will speak about the death of her son Jett Travolta for the first time, The Associated Press reported. She and John Travolta have mourned the loss of their son in private.

"If she can empower one other woman who feels like they get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it'll be worthwhile sharing her story," Shriver said, according to People.

Also in the panel will be Elizabeth Edwards and actress Susan Saint James. They, like Preston, are women who have lost a child and all three are at different stages of grief, Shriver said.

As for Kate Gosselin's attendance to the conference, Shriver said she will have a minor role and will speak 15 minutes on a stage at a fair where she will be selling her book, Eight Little Faces: A Mom's Journey.

Gosselin was invited to the event at the suggestion of Shriver's daughters, the AP reported. Shriver said she invited the Jon and Kate Plus Eight star five months ago, before the media frenzy around the couple and the announcement of their split.

"I think her life has certainly changed dramatically, but so be it," she told the AP. "I think that's the beauty of this conference—to have Madeleine Albright and Kate Gosselin at the same place."

Other guests at the conference include Cindy and Meghan McCain, Caroline Kennedy, Alicia Keys, Annie Leibovitz, Danica Patrick and Katie Couric. The conference will be in Long Beach, Calif., Oct. 26-27.
