Michael Jackson Simpsons Episode to Re-Air

Simpsons season three premier episode starring Michael Jackson set to re-air Sunday at 8 p.m.

While fans worldwide find ways to cope with Michael Jackson's death, anything and everything the "King of Pop" touched is popular once again. In honor of the star's life "The Simpsons" will re-air the 1991 season three episode, "Stark Raving Dad," in which Jackson plays the voice of a 300-pound mental patient who believes he is a famous entertainer. The episode will be shown at 8 p.m. on Fox's Animation Domination Sunday lineup.

The folks over at Fox also paid tribute to Jackson last week with the airing of the "Do the Bartman" video, which Jackson co-wrote in 1990 for a Simpsons' album, entitled "The Simpsons Sing The Blues." One of the entertainer's dreams was always to be on the Simpsons and after approaching the producers of Fox to write a hit song for Bart, Jackson was given the chance to play the lovable mental patient in the "Dad" episode.
