Bond and Wolverine Headed to Broadway

Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig are the latest Hollywood stars to appear on Broadway.

Hugh Jackman, known for playing Wolverine in the "X-Men" franchise, and Daniel Craig, the current James Bond, are set to star together on Broadway in "A Steady Rain," a play about two Chicago policemen.

Preview performances for Keith Huff's two-character play begin Sept. 10. Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 29.

Jackman, 40, makes his return to Broadway after his 2004 Tony Award-winning role in "The Boy From Oz." Craig, 41, has numerous stage credits in London and will make his Broadway debut.

Jackman is well loved by New York's theater community, has hosted the Tony Awards several times, and brought a musical theater flair to the Academy Awards earlier this year.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who produced several Bond films, will produce here as well.

Broadway has been increasingly turning to Hollywood stars in the past few years.

Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd starred in the hit "Three Days of Rain" in 2006. "You're Welcome America: A Final Night with George W. Bush" opened this past season and starred Will Ferrell.
