Timberlake Is a Candidate for "Green Lantern"
Former boy-bander Justin Timberlake has gotten several acting gigs over the past few years, most notably in "Saturday Night Live" and "Alpha Dog." Now he is in serious consideration for his biggest role yet.
Timberlake is one of three finalists hoping for the lead in "Green Lantern," a new superhero picture from DC Comics and Warner Brothers.
Bradley Cooper ("The Hangover" and "Wedding Crashers") and Ryan Reynolds ("The Proposal," "Definitely, Maybe") are also up for consideration.
Reynolds already appeared in superhero flick "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" this year and is set to star in yet another X-Men spin-off, "X-Men Origins: Deadpool," in 2011.
Green Lantern is a favorite in the comic book realm, and is probably just a notch down from Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man popularity.
The "Green Lantern" film is expected to be released in December 2010 and will cost between $150 million and $200 million to make.
