Molly Ringwald Adds Two to the Family

The '80s icon and actress in ABC Family's "The Secret Life of an American Teenager" gave birth to fraternal twins in Los Angeles on Friday, reports Parade Magazine. Adele Georgiana and Ramon Styllanos will be raised by Ringwald, her husband Panio Gianopoulos, and 5-year-old big sister Mathilda Ereni.

According to New York Daily News, the new mother is glad for the age difference between the twins and her first daughter. "I actually think it's a good thing considering we're having twins," she said, "It would be so much harder with a toddler than with an almost 6-year-old."

She is excited about having both a boy and a girl, saying that it's "the best of both worlds."

Ringwald's character in "The Secret Life of an American Teenager" is also pregnant while her teenage daughter has just had a baby, writes the Seattle Post Intelligencer. They are planning to raise the two children side-by-side.

Having finished shooting the scenes with her pregnancy, Ringwald is currently on maternity leave from the show.
