T.I. Speaks from Behind Bars
Although Rapper T.I. is serving a 366-day sentence for weapon charges, he is determined to not let his music fans forget about him. According to MTV, two mixtapes (one with Kanye West and another with Chris Brown) have been recently released.
Not only have two mixtapes been released, but also a music video with the Southern rapper and Mary J. Blige premiered on July 14. The music video was for the song, "Remember Me," which was leaked a couple of weeks before his incarceration. "Remember Me" is the first single from the re-release of his album, "Paper Trail," which is hitting stores in August (although the date for its re-release may change, according to MTV).
T.I. recorded the song and taped the video before going to prison. "The video and the song were both made with the express purpose of letting T.I.'s fans (and detractors) know that the King may be gone, but he's not gone for good. And one day, in the very near future (like around May 30, 2010), he'll be back to reclaim his throne," MTV reported.
