Paula Abdul Not Returning to American Idol
Paula Abdul may not be returning to American Idol unless she gets more money.
American Idol judge Paula Abdul may not be returning for the upcoming ninth season of the show. Unless she receives a huge increase in pay.
Her manager David Sonenberg recently told the L.A. Times, "Very sadly, it does not appear that she's going to be back on 'Idol.'"
Sonenberg also revealed that the ninth season of "American Idol" is set to begin taping August 6, and he still hasn't received a proposal for a new contract for Abdul, which he called "unnecessarily hurtful."
Ryan Seacrest, the host of "American Idol," recently received a new contract in which he pockets $45 million in exchange for doing three more seasons of the show.
