Mischa Barton Back in the Game
Actress Mischa Barton is feeling better and is ready to return to work just one week after she was escorted from her home for an undisclosed medical problem, according to BBC News.
Barton, 23, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where medical professionals held her for psychological evaluation.
Although still hospitalized, Barton plans to return to work on a new CW series, "The Beautiful Life," which will begin production on July 31. According to MTV.com, the original production date was to be July 22, but a statement the CW said that the network pushed the date back because sets were not yet ready. It did not mention Barton's illness as a factor.
In the new show, Barton will play a beautiful pill-popping model. MTV.com reported that the show began casting for another character not to replace Barton but to have more options for the new series.
Due to her hospitalization, Barton had to miss out on the New York premiere of her movie "Homecoming," where she plays a woman obsessed with her old high school sweetheart.
