Youtube Home Wedding Video Goes Viral
The Wedding March or "Pachelbel's Canon in D" is so old-fashioned for a wedding entrance now. What's in? Apparently Chris Brown sans the girlfriend beating. In a Youtube video that's becoming a Web sensation, Kevin Heinz and Jill Peterson amazed their guests by dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown's "Forever" at their June 20 wedding.
The 28-year-olds, their seven bridesmaids, five groomsmen and four ushers all went down the aisle in a choreographed routine. The groom did a somersault while the bride shook her hips and pumped her bouquet.
When the video went on Youtube, it quickly became viral, now with over 3,500,000 hits. The couple was interviewed on the "Today" show by Matt Lauer and, according to the couple, it was Peterson's idea. "I danced growing up and was a dancer through college and loved dance as a way to express yourself and share joy. So it was something I always thought about doing."
The wedding party practiced the routine for an hour and half but, according to Peterson, a lot of people were making it up as they went along.
The wedding took place on June 20. Whoever said wedding ceremonies were boring?
