Jackson Museum in Indiana

Joe Jackson speaks about a Jackson Museum that is being created.

Joe Jackson confirmed that there are indeed plans in the works for the creation of a Jackson museum in Indiana, the birth place of Michael Jackson.

Jackson made an appearance last Thursday in New York City for the RockMeTv.com launch party for his new movie "Destination Fame," which is a tribute to his son, Michael.

Joe spoke with Access Hollywood and confirmed that he is building a museum in the Jackson's hometown. The creation of the museum was actually going on before Michael's death but now the plans have been moved up.

"It's in Gary, Indiana," he said. "It will have some of the memorabilia that goes with it."

No exact date has been set for when the museum would be finished and opened to the public.
