Rachelle Lefevre to be Replaced in Third 'Twilight' Film

The role of Victoria will go to "Terminator" actress.

Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of Victoria, in the third installment of the "Twilight" series, "Eclipse".

Howard will replace Rachelle Lefevre, who is stepping down from the role due to "scheduling conflicts," reported E! online.

Howard is known for her roles in "Terminator Salvation" and "Spiderman 3". Summit Entertainment rep Erik Feig is thrilled to have Howard on board.

"Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character," said Feig. "The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."

Victoria is the red-headed vampire seeking to kill Bella, the movie's leading female played by Kristen Stewart, to avenge her vampire mate, James, who was killed in the last movie.

Lefevre will be present in the next film, "New Moon" in theaters on November 30th. "Eclipse" will start filming in Vancouver next month, and has a June 2010 release.
