More VMA Performers Announced
Each year music fans anticipate MTV's Video Music Awards to see which artists will get top honors, and who will do something completely outrageous. The performances throughout the show are also a hot commodity every year.
MTV News says Green Day and Pink will be on the list of artists for the 2009 show. There are many celebrities expected to make appearances, including Ne-Yo, Chace Crawford and Katy Perry. Taylor Swift and Muse were previously announced as VMA performers, and Russell Brand will host for his second year.
Green Day has not performed at the VMAs since 2005, and their new songs such as, "East Jesus Nowhere" and "Know Your Enemy" will be played.
Sept. 13 will mark the award show's 26th installment, and will take place in New York City at Radio City Music Hall. This will also mark the 14th time that the show has taken place in the city.
