YouTube Wedding Couple to Fight Domestic Violence
Everyone remembers the recent YouTube video of the wedding party dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown's "Forever," which earned over 13 millions hits in two weeks. Now the stars of the hit video are using their sudden fame for a good cause.
On their new website www.jkweddingdance.com, the newlyweds wrote that they are raising money for the Sheila Wellstone Institute, writes My Fox Boston. The institute works to end domestic violence, particularly against women and children. The couple is using the website to ask their many fans for donations.
According to the Washington Post, the couple chose this particular charity in light of the recent domestic violence dispute between Chris Brown and his girlfriend, Rihanna. Brown was sentenced for the assault, and later apologized for his actions.
KXMX reports that Sheila Wellstone, wife of Sen. Paul Wellstone, was an advocate for domestic violence victims. The two of them died in a plane crash in 2002, but Sheila's work lives on.
