Spit Attack on Fonda
Actress Jane Fonda recieved a less than welcome reception in Kansas City.
Jane Fonda, long time Hollywood star, Vietnam War protestor, and co-star of the upcoming Jennifer Lopez comedy "Monster-in-Law," was the victim of a spitting veteran on Tuesday at a Kansas City book singing. The seasoned star was signing copies of her new autobiography, "My Life So Far," for over 900 fans when Michael A. Smith, a Vietnam War veteran, spit on her as pay back for what he deemed to be an unpatriotic visit to North Vietnam in 1972. According to witnesses, Fonda kept her cool and continued to sign books. Smith was charged with disorderly conduct and is due in municipal court on May 27.
