Radiohead's Honorable New Song

Band releases song dedicated to last British World War I survivor.

The high costs of music prompted the band, Radiohead, to let fans name their own price on their last album online. Their newest song release costs one pound in the UK, which is $1.70 in the US.

According to ABC News, Radiohead released, "Harry Patch (In Memory Of)," as a dedication to the last British World War I survivor.

The song is streaming on the BBC Radio 4 website, and allows listeners to hear the song before a purchase.

Harry Patch died on July 25, at the astounding age of 111. Lead singer, Thom Yorke, remembered an interview with Patch from 2005 conducted by BBC Radio 4, and was affected emotionally by the veteran.

The song is an extremely mellow compilation of soft voices and string-based instruments. The band wanted something that would represent the life lived by Patch.

Radiohead is currently working on the band's eighth studio album, and has four shows planned for the month.
