Paula Abdul: From Idol to Dance?

Paula Abdul is not dwelling on her decision to leave "American Idol."

In fact, that closed window has opened new doors of opportunities, most notably the hit show "So You Think You Can Dance." Jocelyn Vena of MTV.com reports that Abdul told the Associated Press she would not rule out a possible spot on "So You Think You Can Dance," which was offered by producer Nigel Lythgoe (a former "Idol" producer).

The pop star was a famed dancer and choreographer; her expertise and big name could grab even more viewers for the show. Indeed, since her decision to leave "Idol" Abdul has received an "insane" amount of fan response.

It is uncertain which directon Abdul will go at this point, but the former "Idol" judge will be appearing in the Lifetime show "Drop Dead Diva" as a judge who encourages a heavyset lawyer. Abdul expressed hopes for a recurring role.
