The Latino Funnyman Marries Pianist Natasha Rubin
Cheech Marin, the second half of comedy duo Cheech and Chong, married Natasha Rubin in an intimate ceremony in Malibu.
Cheech, real name Richard Marin, shot to fame in the '70s along with Tommy Chong playing clubs, releasing comedy albums and starring in movies. He is most famous for his on-screen persona as a perpetually high and clueless hippie. Since the Cheech and Chong heyday, he has appeared in TV shows and in movies.
The 63-year-old comedian married his girlfriend after dating for nearly five years. Rubin is a Russian-born pianist and has a 13-year old son.
The couple, wearing white silk, wed in a small ceremony with about 75 guests, reported People magazine. It was officiated by LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The ceremony was part traditional, Rubin and the bridesmaids walked down the isle to "Here Comes the Bride," but with a splash of Cheech Marin originality, as the funnyman's walk down the aisle was accompanied by the Cheech and Chong hit novelty song "Earache My Eye."
